Sasa enjoyed her grooming at home

Sasa is a 10 year old female Shih Tzu.  She hid for 3 days whenever she came back from the grooming salon, thus, the owner wanted to try out home grooming for Sasa.  This was the first home grooming experience for Sasa and it was indeed good news, Sasa happily jumped up the sofa and ran around the house after the grooming, look at her smile, we were so happy for Sasa and her owner, they have made the right choice.

Puppy Cavapoo

Lucy, a 4 month old puppy girl had her first grooming at home.  She performed well on the grooming table except that she started moving and rejecting whenever the scissor went near the lower forehead and the eye area, as we need to carry on with our work to make clear of her eye area, we proceeded with trimming around the area with caution using a different position that is comfortable for her.  Safety is our priority for all fur kids, it has to be a smooth one especially for the first timer.  Lucy will be more receptive in her next grooming session.

Belli Toy Poodle

Belli, a Toy Poodle girl who got adopted about 3 weeks ago, was so timid that she only felt comfortable with the ladies when she first arrived at the owner's house.  But given time, she is now a sweetie to everyone at home.  I was engaged to groom Belli, her first grooming at home.  Upon entering the house, Belli ran into hiding.  So I asked the owner to leave her alone first while I sat down and chatted with the owner. After a while, I sounded out to the owner to carry Belli and pass her to me.  Belli was kind of nervous when put on the grooming table, she kept starring at her owner.  Like most dogs, Belli was also fearful of nails cutting but by staying calm had made the nails cutting and the whole grooming process a smooth one. She even coordinated with me and allowed me to scissor her face areas (see video via Desktop PC).  Look at her smile after the grooming, now she knows me already.  Belli, remember our date in about 2 months time.

Tara Toy Poodle Staycation

Tara, a 5 year old Toy Poodle girl, was back with me for Staycation this eve of Chinese New Year.  It has been quite a while since she last boarded with me so she needed a little warm up when she arrived at my house.  She was timid, although she preferred a quiet corner she did roam freely with my fur kids in the house.  When meal time came, I brought her to a private space with no distraction so that she can focus on her food.  First two days were about adjustments, however, with the daily walks, talks, assurance and patience, Tara started to move from a shy girl to becoming so at home with us.  She slept together with me on my bed, walked together with the gang, stopped and admired the spa pool, ate her meals together with our fur kids, joined the fur kids when treats were given and even get up close to kiss me, my kids were so happy too to have her this Chinese New Year.  However, there is always an end to a staycation, I told Tara that I will miss her when she returns home and she immediately dived her head into my lap.  How sweet and touching, I know she felt me.  Of all the fur kids that have boarded with me, they are part of my family too, and I always look forward to seeing them again.

Puppy Cavapoo

Meg is a 4 month old Cavapoo who never had her grooming before.  As she is going for her next vaccination soon, her family would like her to be groomed at home.  This session was filled with new experiences for Meg - from putting the leash on her, placing her on the grooming table, having a before groomed photo session, cleaning of her ears, plucking of her ear hairs, shaving her paw pads, clearing the sanitary area, nails cutting, express anal glands, trim fur till bath and to blow drying, had definitely been astounding. As the grooming proceeded, Meg did well and from being a fearful puppy, she adapted and became more calm till she finished her grooming.
